"... shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world.
But we in it shall be remembered ...
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he that today sheds his blood for me
Shall be my brother."
May they rest in peace and in God's good grace.
I got the opportunity to visit the Arizona Memorial a few years back. It is a humbling experience, and truly reinforces the need to never ever forget. While there, I was struck by the fact that every male removed his cover, even one with a backward baseball cap, when stepping on board. I was also struck by the bookends of the beginning, Arizona, and the end, Missouri. Who ever came up with that is true historical genius IMO.
