I hate to sound stupid but what is "contempative prayer"? What do you mean by "Christian mysticism" too?

I don't get to listen to him often. For me it's primarily been Dr. Stanley and Dr. Rogers.

If you like, answer me privately on D.J.. My parents listen to him more and I don't want them watching him if he's into this stuff.

Contemplative prayer is basically transendental meditation repackaged as a Christian practice. They use various techniques to get into an altered state of consciousness. In this "silence" they are supposed to hear from God. It's shocking how many Christian leaders are buying into it. You can read about it here: David Jeremiah

Notice that first name on the list of people he quotes in his new book, Life Wide Open is Sue Monk Kidd. I listened to a speech she gave about the Black Madonna. (You can find it at that some website I linked you to above.) She is into this Christian feminism stuff and she says "God is more than two men and a bird." She also says that the Christ of the new millennium will include (even become) the Black Madonna. She's a real piece of work. AND HE REFERS TO HER FAVORABLY IN HIS BOOK!!!! And she's just one of many.

I do not know what happened to him, but I wouldn't trust him anymore.
