I also recall the Hindu reverence for cows. For Hindus, cows can be considered holy animals, and not only do they refrain from eating them, they dare not even hassle or offend them. I've seen huge lines of traffic in India when a cow simply decides to park it's butt in the middle of the road to rest, and the locals dare not even prod it or shove it out of their way.
Surely Hindu have a better case against the mistreatment or misrepresentation of cows or consumption of beef than a muslime does for pork? Imagine what a Hindu immigrant makes of the entire industries we have in the west that are built around killing cows and grinding their precious meat up. They would have a far better case to demand burger chains close and for stores not to sell beef than any whining muslim does about toys or pictorial displays relating to pigs. Yet, those damn RoPers use this "pig" excuse day and night to try and remind the kuffar who is the boss.
What they are essentially saying is "I'm a muslim, my word is better than any of yours, and you have to bow down and do as I tell you even if I'm making this stuff up as I go along," essentially invoking sharia in the west and trying to have elements of it enforced by useful idiots. When they are done humiliating the kuffar with one thing, they'll move on to something else... this is simply the thin end of the wedge.
The status of any dhimmi is a tentative one at best, and can easily be revoked for the the alternative (death) if the dhimmi refuses to put up with the humiliations muslims are required to bestow upon them.
Even payment of the jizra was supposed to be a humiliating experience as possible for the dhimmi, and done in a way where he was made to feel subdued and inferior as commanded in the koran:

YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.PICKTHAL: Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.
SHAKIR: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.
The renowned Imaam an-Nawawi (author of 40 hadeeth) described how the dhimmi must be humiliated by muslims even if he's willing to pay the jizya:
"…The infidel who wishes to pay his poll tax must be treated with disdain by the collector: the collector remains seated and the infidel remains standing in front of him, his head bowed and his back bent. The infidel personally must place the money on the scales, while the collector holds him by the beard, and strikes him on both cheeks…"
As I said in my comment #50, they can't do that in the darul harb, so they have to get their "fix" in other ways. Clueless apologists refuse to see it, but the muslim agitator knows exactly what they are doing.
Islam, because it is a cheap fabrication, makes its devout adherents into pathological liars. They live in an upside down world that leaves them devoid of the confidence that they are living the Truth and are showing the Truth to the world...hence the ease by which they are offended by the slightest criticism.
It is the sensitivity of islam...and the fact that it must be maintained by violence...that underscores the truth about islam.
