I'm willing to assume that he learned, and learned well, how to follow orders while in the Marines.Today, his "Commanding Officer" is a piece of excrement who was sent to Congress by some of the sickest, most depraved creatures to ever walk this earth.
So,as he did in the Marines,he's "following orders" today as well.
Yes.The knuckedraggers bathe more frequently.
Kerry doesn't have a clue as to what he is saying from one moment to the next. I expect his mentor and groupies are well practiced in the eye-rolling by now. I count them all as being as one with AQ, don't you?
Zarqawi is getting Iranian TNT which is 7 times more powerful as Iraqi TNT and there is technology transfers going on, but most of the bomb making factories are in the Euphrates River Valley.
I had an interesting discussion with a neighbor whose family was from Syria. He's traveled in the Middle East recently. He totally supports our effort in Iraq, saying that the establishment of a democratic Republic in Iraq would be revolutionary.
He said the ME culture demands a strong man to lead a country. The people will fall in line behind him. We don't have a strong man in Iraq right now, hence the people are afraid to support the current government. I asked him "isn't democracy impossible with a 'strongman' leader"? Yes, but a strongman is critical to organizing the country so that democracy can sprout.
Is there a solution to this dilemma???
How long should we be in Germany, South Korea, Japan, Bosnia, Kosovo, Philippines, etc etc etc......
Share your expertise on these countries while you're at it.
You are right. I seldom go to the Yahoo boards anymore. They are depressing!
What the hell are you talking about?
I want us to be in Iraq for years to witness the birth of a new democracy as we did in Japan and elsewhere.
At the same time I don't believe that will happen if things don't change, because Congress will lose their spine, if they had one to begin with.
You are right, things are going much better there. I think however because of the way the troops are dying and the way it is being reported because the media are lazy and have an agenda.
It seems like they are just being picked off, like they are sitting ducks. Again, it is the job of the military to say this is the only remaining weapon to the terrorists.
The reporters don't provide context. It's like in June of 1944 the American people woke up and the media reported 3,000 dead in Normany but didn't tell us what the heck is going on.
Vultures are showing up, defending the enemy, very dependable aren't they?
Our major opponents are Sunnis.
Are they such fools that they don't realize that the US forces are the only thing restraining the Shia and the Kurds from taking vengeance on them for Saddam's crimes?
Instead of 300,000 dead Shia under Saddam, we might be seeing 300,000 Sunni.
The Sunni, if they were smart, ought to be terrified of when we leave.
It shows how deluded they are that they are not.
God bless our brave soldiers.
Just a suggestion.......why don't we send the jack-offs in congress to Bagdad and let them discuss the subject of "torturing" the terrorists in the public square, just maybe if their lives were at risk, they might look at things a little diffently.
I just heard on Fox News that this happened in a courtyard, by a factory that the Marines were checking out...probably for explosives...
The answer is yes they are.
The Iraqi Army could take a Beruit and it would change nothing.
The US Army could take a Beruit and it would change nothing... well except for the US Congress cutting their funding and funding for the Iraqi government and forcing us to come home.
That is the difference.
I consider George Bush a "strong man"...and he is heading a "democracy"...
Perhaps in the ME...their idea of a strong man is someone who WILL kill and torture those who express differences...that is what we are trying to change, not facilitate...hopefully.
Remember that while Waterloo was being fought, there were actually British politicians who hoped that Wellington would lose, in order to wreck the British government in power.
(Stopping Napoleon wasn't as important to them as stopping their own government).
These people were actually disappointed and crestfallen when they learned that Wellington had won.
(Times never change.. . )
