Unhinged? Yep, with such advice - the kook Left descends ever deeper into the loony bin. The Dems are just not angry; they're stark raving mad. Like Michelle Malkin observes of Jeanne Garafalo's rant, only one word comes to mind: Duck.

The era of civilise public discourse in this country is definitely over. TV and talk radio do not lend themselves to substantive debate, there are just soundbites and histrionics. I only watch/listen for amusement. Same with politics in general. The Dems are just a snarling impotent bunch. However, the Repubs have not been paragons of social virtue - recall how Dick Cheney's "F*** you" to Leahy on the Senate floor. No gracious winner that fellow.

So as far as politicians and the punditry go - it's ALL showbiz... and they're playing to their rowdiest backbenchers.

My amazon.com review of Unhinged:

I just bought and read "Unhinged". Superb. All about the liberal bigotry, racism (just peruse the barely literate
comments she's gotten), violence, death threats against the President, conspiracy theories, and more. From Tawana-Brawley-like liberals "faking" hate crimes to Ward Churchill; calling our soldiers "baby killers", etc.

Haven't heard of any conservatives vandalizing cars with Kerry stickers. Don't recall Rush suggesting that Clinton should be assassinated when he was in office.
Haven't heard of any conservatives denigrating the soldiers that help keep us free.

Liberals and Democrats could take Malkin's advice and tone it down. Or maybe they'll just try to get the "blue states"
to secede.

Yup. Its today's Hollywood "casting couch". Garafalo smears conservatives so she'll get invited to the right parties, to meet the right producers, to get cast in the right films. She can't sell herself to the hollywood elites unless they think she's "hip".
