I have a house that was undamaged but my tenants fled town and did not want to return. I put a sign up in the Neutral ground on Broadway and have been getting five calls a day for the month.
I believe in an after life and could not raise the rent. But all I have heard is horror stories of rents doubling. Sick.
Among all that is bad I am thinking of moving back to the city. I just wish they would let the people who are there to work actually work. Instead they tow their work trucks from Canal Streets and make them pay rent to camp in City Park.

I could not believe it when I say that they were charging rent on the tents and campers...those people are here to help us and Nagin is charging them to live in a tent?!?!?! The thing that drives me nuts about the eviction is I told them I would pay the extra rent in the old place, just PLEASE, after all of this, don't make me move! They couldn't do that legally. Can you imagine? We are only hear for 9 more months and we had to move after everything.
