I've always stated that the current border situation is a mess, I just don't beleive in the knee jerk replies of house to house roundups or mines along the border. I can't help it if some people don't have the knowledge that this problem wasn't born overnight and will not be solved overnight.
AnPlease point to the person in this thread who recommended house to house roundups or mines along the border. Can't? Then what you're doing is akin to lying.

In 2002, the Bush Administration fined a grand total of 13 employers for employing illegal aliens. That was 3 years ago. In 2003 the number got up to 124. When you compare that to the millions of such violations per year, you get a statistical zero on enforcement. No one is asking that the problem be solved overnight, we're only asking for some real attempt at solving it. We want real results on enforcing the border first and then carefully, and in a very limited fashion, allowing "guest workers" to return.
