You're assuming God has no further plan.

Is God omnipotent? If so, would he not know the future? If God knows the future, (his plan), then all our choices are already made, aren't they? Free will must be an illusion. For us to have free will, you'd have to argue that God doesn't know the future.To say that God doesn't know the future is to say that he is not omnipotent.
