Yep. That's what made me think about it.

I think a case should be made for selectively using Hollywood folks with the President. How about getting Bruce Willis to appear with the President in support of the troops? We need to find Hollywood people who are obsessed with something and if it is at all compatible with the administration's ideas, get them to the White House for a photo op.

There are lots of NFL guys who would be willing to help, maybe with physical fitness or anti-drug stuff, as well as troop support.

But the Brad and Angelina story is the best one, right now. The President should call them to the White House (which Brad would hate but Angelia WOULD do) to find out what they say and what aid they think is needed. Is it pandering and cheap photo stuff? Maybe...but it would WORK.

Unfortunately, anything that happens will result in the White House being blamed for Orchestrating events to influence polls. The Democrats and media do that so President must be doing it as well is their reasoning.

Personal comment. Money donated to Republican 527 organizations would stimulate more results if donors ask for them. These 527's have the money to make these things happen, while the RNC and state organizations are limited because of McCain/Finegold and various state laws. Also, personal appeals to various celebrities would help, as long as there is NO official Republican footprint on the suggestions or requests.
