I don't know about your point about waging war by polling for best strategy...

I think that is what Clinton did...in both Iraq, and in Kosovo....and in both cases, he polled (IMHO) that he "needed" a war as a distraction, but couldn't handle the negativity of casualties, so he just waged a couple of "air wars"....

Are we not still in Kosovo...and how much did his bombing runs do to stop Saddam???

I think President Bush is doing just the opposite...and that is what is making Chrissy Matthews, the dems and others crazy....that he ISN'T looking to his "falling numbers" to decide when to get out of Iraq...

My point is that the constant critisism of the current strategy is all the libs have to offer. If a politician really believes s/he has a better battle strategy, then share it with the administration.

Didn't Clinton use polls for everything? He based his foriegn & domestic policy on how the poll winds blew...polls told him where to take his vacations......what a mess he was & is!
