I agree but it isn't always something "we" allow. It happens and usually without parents ever knowing. It happens because the kids are given the opportunity and space for it to happen by a lack of parental involvement in their lives and a lack of supervision. And often the kids are lonely and neglected and looking for something to fill a void.
It doesn't "just happen".

It doesn't "just happen".Yes, it does just happen and for many of the reasons you stated but it also happens because a child is so smothered and so restricted that it is rebellion in its truest form.
