You know, Small World takes a lot of hits, but I rode it for the first time a month ago. (Every other time I'd ever been to Dizzyland, it had been closed!) It got annoying (duh) but I couldn't help but think of the engineering that must have gone into it fifty years ago, to get the song playing end-to-end without the beat getting totally screwed up.

I was there with my family last weekend. It was playing Christmas carols, and it was actually pretty enjoyable for the first time in 25 years or so (I figure I stopped enjoying around 9 years old). They had the whole ride done up with Christmas decor, too.
