Getting them to call it Christmas instead of a Holiday was certainly a major victory. This is how the left wins, by getting us to focus on this sort of thing.

I disagree. By allowing it to be swept under the rug is giving the left a victory. I compare this to the 2000 elections. I think the left was extremely shocked and rocked on their heels when Freepers and other conservatives protested in Florida and outside the VPs house. They did that sort of crap for years and nobody said boo. Now, when fighting back, the left does not know how to handle it. A boycott is an effective way of fighting back and lets the left know we are not taking this anymore.

It seems to be the opposite. This year retail sales are expected to be UP from last year - in fact it was announced yesterday that the projected 5% was expected to be 6%. Maybe the 80+ of the population will be spending more in a Christmas-friendly shopping environment?!
