The pace in London is more like NYC than Paris, but the analogy I was drawing was between a chic inner city, and more drab suburbs, except in certain areas. London has a chic very inner city, but then you need to go to the city fringes to find the gentry, and the areas outside the city, are still very bourgeoisie. The mindset is more American, than French.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm...most of N.Y.C.'s suburbs aren't "drab".

Hampstead is FABULOUS! There really isn't anything in N.Y.C. to compare to it.

Chicago is much more like Paris...now.

How many years have you not seen Chicago?
