I guess you know Dos Passos was a red. Another example of unibased juornalism like the Pulitzer Prize winning Walter Duranty who said there was no slaughter by Stalin and the other Pulitzer Prize winning journalist for the Philly Daily News Will Bunch who said the Iraq War and Bush tax cuts caused the New Orleans levees to break.
