I heard one of our Congressmen from Texas speak about this incident on Hannity this past Friday. What was even more disturbing was the info that he relayed about one of our sheriffs along the Rio Grande had to temporarily house an al Qaeda member that was captured by the federales along the border & handed over to our authorities.

I'm not surprised re post #2.....unfortunately, I do believe that what Culberson, and most Americans fear, may indeed happen:

Apparently, during a hearing before the House Science, State, Justice, Commerce Appropriations Subcommittee in March, Culberson asked FBI Director Robert Mueller Jr. "about SIAs entering the United States across the southern border." FBI Director Mueller testified, under oath,:

that '[t]he FBI has received reports that individuals from countries with known al-Qaida connections have attempted to enter the U.S. illegally using alien smuggling rings and assuming Hispanic appearances. An FBI investigation into these reports continues.'

BQ, you may remember me telling you, just last week I believe, that Middle Eastern ethnic groups CAN EASILY APPEAR AS HISPANIC to Americans, that includes our border patrol, law enforcement authorities, etc. I had also said that Italians with dark skin even appear to be hispanic to border patrol....I know this from personal experience, having witnessed this "confusion" with my Italian uncle and cousin when crossing the border back into California (YEARS ago).

Sheriff West, from the Rio Grande area, said:

according to information he was provided by Mexican authorities, it appears as though the suspect was monitoring border activity. He said communications found on him were in "code" to make it appear as though he were tracking migratory birds.
"He was part of al-Qaida," West said, adding, "The written communication that we were able to obtain was . . . in the nature of code words." He said the alleged operative was transferred from Mexico to Brewster County, which borders Hudspeth County, "in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service."
