UN Confirms Saddam Smuggled Out WMDs Before, During and After the War

In a report which might alternately be termed stunning or terrifying, United Nations weapons inspectors confirmed last week not merely that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, but that he smuggled them out of his country, before, during and after the war.
Late last week, the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) briefed the Security Council on Saddam's lightning-fast dismantling of missile and WMD sites before and during the war. UNMOVIC executive chairman Demetrius Perricos detailed not only the export of thousands of tons of missile components, nuclear reactor vessels and fermenters for chemical and biological warheads, but also the discovery of many (but not most) of these items - with UN inspection tags still on them -- as far afield as Jordan, Turkey and even Holland.
One wonders where CNN and USA Today think twenty tons of nerve gas and sarin came from: Chemical Weapons-Mart? Yet their coverage, like most major media outlets, mentioned not a word about Saddam's smuggled WMDs, which -- according to liberal dogma -- don't exist.

Because they are not in the Truth business.

Sorry but the MSM covers whatever it wants whatever way it wants, and then drops the subject if it does not fit their scenarios.
I remember during the campaign the MSM frenzy over the US military supposed failure to secure tons and tons of highly sophisticated explosives during the invasion. And then the story vanished because it did not fit the "war for oil" "Bush war" script.BUt BUt But If there were tons of highly sophisticated explosives then Saddam was obviously a threat.... What to do.. How to spin this...MSM just decided to stop talking about it.

I am just hoping and praying that reality will soon BITE them in the butt big time. Im not, because those weapons are still out there. The fact that the Democrats and MSM have been saying for 3 years that they never existed will matter not at all.
If or when there is such an attack they will say
..wait for it

"Its a bad thing that many more lives will have to be lost before the dems accept that they are on the wrong side of history."
The problem is that the Dims only see a "context" to "reframe" to their advantage, in any situation. The parallel universe that they're creating as a result will only get more divorced from objective reality, but they won't notice. They can't, because that would be disadvantageous. It's a sort of mass sociopathology ... total self-absorption.

Not that it matters, but this is not breaking news as the story is from 2004.

It's not all over MSM because the article is bald-faced nonsense.
Sorry, but we're NEVER going to understand what happened in Iraq 1991-2003 if we continue to quote such crap sources. It's schizophrenic: the same people who complain about the biased media then proceed to gladly reference web sites that seem to have been founded for no other reason than bizarre dis-information. A lie doesn't become right just because it's committed by the other side.
The truth behind this article's spin is that known, UN-monitored stuff that had been under UN supervision, lock and seal got looted AFTER the invasion, because US troops obviously failed to protect the sites. Some of the stuff ended up sold off as scrap metal outside Iraq.
Take a look at
page 14 of the UN doc this "article" is based upon. There's 2 pictures of the same UN-monitored store site: intact at the end of May, 2003, and gone in February 2004. There's no talk of "Hussein smuggled", because after March 2003 he clearly wasn't in the position to do so. There's no talk of "WMD", rather of monitored equipment and material. If they were "WMD", they wouldn't have been put in UN-monitored warehouses, but destroyed.
There's not one truthful sentence in the article you posted.
You can click the Report Abuse button and scream Zot! all you want, but for Christ sakes, quit posting bullshit sources like Newsmax, Debka, etc. ... and this guy's site! Unless you want to make the Conservative side look idiotic.

Then tell me what happened to the weapons that Iraq had when the inspectors were kicked out in 1996?
"because US troops obviously failed to protect the sites"
What was their objectove at the time?
You do realise that there are thousands of weapon depots in Iraq, some of them 50 ACRES in size, some larger?
And you expected the troops to secure them during the fall of Saddam?
They are still finding depots that were previously unknown.
Saddam had jets buried in the sand for crying out loud.
And you think what, that these things are easy to find?
