MURTHA: I have a letter/email from a parent/grandparent/wife/sister/brother of a wounded/maimed/blinded/amputated veteran (all from Iraq, not Afghanistan). The letters reads: Rep. Murtha, you are great. There is no plan, Bush lied, and he didn't provide enough body armor. Mr. Murtha, you are so wise and great.
In consideration of all of the foregoing, and the fact that we are the enemy, I'm going to urge my esteemed colleagues to vote against the very proposition I advocated yesterday as quoted in the NY Times, Washington Post, and Hardball.
