Murtha's 12th district is coal mining country, and consists mainly of Reagan Democrats. They are NASCAR loving, gun loving, beer loving, country rednecks. The area has a higher proportion of men and women enlisted in uniform than any other district in the state.
Maybe that's why Curt is buttering him up...maybe the folks at Harrisburg told him to do it to give the GOP a decent chance when Murtha retires.
You got that right, I live 50 miles from there only our Congressman is Bill Shuster...The last President election Murtha's main county (Cambria) voted for Bush....
