I just got home from work. Can somebody explain to me why this vote is such a big deal?

This is very sad for our country.

I'm still getting caught up with this thread, but I'm convinced the shouting down of Hunter will further alienate Democrats from the "normal" voter. Far left-wing Democrats will still be there afraid the country will FINALLY understand what they stand for.

Thanks for compiling the photos and contact info for the six wayward Republicans siding with the Dems on the procedural vote. I see that you registered at FreeRepublic relatively recently. Welcome!

Is the House C-Span the right one to be watching?

LOL! I certainly hope Brit interviews Reid about this major inconsistency.
Rockefeller probably won't be sending Chris Wallace a Christmas card this year, either!

Your Name is familiar. Did we spar in the past, ma'am? I'd rather not now, this is history in the making, and should be absent a petty quarrel between us.

What is the wording of the motion? Because the C-Span1 headline just now was: 'Republicans seek disapproval of Iraq pullout'

Any idea what that big photograph behind him is supposed to be? It is a picture of President Kennedy. It was behind him last night also.

Are the House members on a dinner break or something? (I've been offline about 1/2 hour)

This vote is forcing congresscritters to go on the record as favoring immediate withdrawal (surrender) of the troops in Iraq.

Murtha is a pansy- if he wanted to play dress up President- he should have tried to run for election. I love how he degrades our troops- and brown noses the media in the same breath.... jerk.
To: SE Mom
"I've had more e-mails and phone calls from other military families this week than I've had since the first month of the war...we are FURIOUS and letters and calls are flying to D.C. from us (INCLUDING families of those KIA)..."
We can only hope that Congress has heard from millions of Americans giving them backbone to NOT BACK DOWN from this action tonight. But I've changed from cspan - cannot tolerate that lying traitor Murtha another second.
To: pepperhead
I know this is a replay, but "I supported Reagan and that Central American thing." and the soft-petal questions. Can anyone imaging agent of MSM asking, "President Bush, could you expound at how you arrived at this point?" Geez, this is red meat for International traitors.
