Disappointed that the Republicans weren't screaming about the Patriot Act going into oblivion in December of this year.
This is the first I've heard that. Guess the Republicans were too busy deciding that further taxing oil companies (which will result in an increase in the cost of gas) is more important than actually doing something about the Patriot Act.

I never did agree with taking sucker punches like gentlemen. I've wanted the President to be more like TR. No nonsense.
BTW, I remember you from another subject we've discussed in the past ... do you?
To: timpad
I don't understand. Please draw me a picture. What are the PHONE COPS? Thanks.

Hello,
OMG ~ I was just thinking of the "Phone Cops" episode, too funny!
On the subject of this thread: this is a much needed event. This county and the world will live with the actions and/or inaction of our elected leaders for decades. Our children will have to live with what happens now. Glad to be here, MOgirl

Is it on C-Span? I'm only finding old footage of Murtha on CSPAN House station.

I find it interisting how the MSM channels are not hyping this. Oh, there is a small mention. But they should be all over this.
Someone's underwear is going to be seen tonight.

I had no idea Congress acted so mob-like while conducting business.
No wonder President Johnson compared the House and Senate as "chicken sh*t and chicken salad". ;^)

Yes, the same Reid, Rockefeller and others who are saying that President Bush had different intelligence than they had could not possibly know what he had that differs as they did NOT read the intelligence reportVisualize (audiolize?) Brit Hume giving Reid a stare and say "President Bush has different intelligence than you and Sen. Rockerfeller? I'd say so!"

Thanks. Yep, great story, good movie, fantastic horse. The symbolism is what appealed to me too.. the will and the spirit to fight back.

Refering to the administration as "this outfit" is hardling endearing me to him.

I watched the rules live earlier and then had to leave. The vote is supposed to be tonight. If it's off now I'll keep trying to see what happened.
Murtha really IS a jerk. I don't care that he was in Vietnam, and I respect his service, BUT he's WRONG! Look. Veterans are not limited to the Republican party, there are both Democrat and Republican veterans. Regardless of that, Burtha is not only wrong about Iraq, but he's bordering on treason or sedition with his outbursts.
In truth, I don't blame Burtha as much as I do Democrat leadership that is lying to him, AND he's believing it.

I am ROFLMAO! I love this thread. Mark is great, too.
