Thanks for the information. If that is the case then he should be prosecuted.

What was not, and still is not clear to me from the indictment, and the presser with Fitzgerald, is how much evidence, from whom, they have to back up that charge.

Only a full boat trial will take care of that. What is odd though, is that Libby is a beltway lawyer. Doesn't it seem as if he SHOULD know not to do that? That is the piece of this that just doesn't make any sense to me at this point.

He got testimony from Cheney, two CIA officials, one state department official that they told him. They have copies of faxes from CIA or State (cant remember which). They have Libby's own notes which show he was told by these various people.

They also have the testimony of Ari Fleischer and two other white house officals that they were involved in meetings with Libby discussing how to deal with Wilson and his wife. Ari Fleischer reported being told by Libby that Wilsons wife works at the CIA on WMD a week before Libby supposely learned this from Russert.

Russert flatly denies ever talking to Libby about Wilson and his wife. In fact, he says he didnt know that Wilson had a wife much less that she worked for the FBI until he read Novaks column. To a lesser extent the reporters Miller and Cooper dont support Libby's version of the truth.
