Hester-Bey, of Brownsville, Brooklyn, was only arrested after an August 2004 fight with a boyfriend, Robert Potter, in which she said he choked her and threw turpentine, paint and bleach on her furniture and clothes. Potter, in turn, ratted Hester-Bey out on the alleged smothering.

It's amazing he didn't kill her and then overdose.

More likely scenario------choking her, and blaming it on McDonald's.
