The CIA recently concluded that Cuban leader Fidel Castro suffers from Parkinson's disease I won't believe it until Joe Wilson flies to Havana to investigate. Now that's saying it like it is, I sure wouldn't believe the CIA.

Amazing. He has killed thousands of dissidents, yet the former dictator of Chile, who killed hundreds, is hounded by the left while they adulate Castro.

It is a serious injustice that leftists who party with Fidel are not hounded from the public spotlight because of their infamous buddy.

Although Castro's brother Raúl, head of the armed forces, has been anointed as his successor I wasn't aware that Cuba was ruled by "monarchy".

I'm sure he'll have an election where he'll win by 99% of the popular vote...as for Castro, I hope he has a long, slow, and painful demise.

Very many attempts on his life have been made since the beginning of his rule, most of which have been kept from the press. Many have died before the firing squad and others are still in hard labor concentration camps for attempting against Castro's life.
Years ago he used to sleep in different residences and had doubles, he still may do both. Several times when plans to get him were in motion, he changed his itinerary just on the nick of time. I firmly believe that Satan and his demons warn him and keep him going.
I, who as a child and within one year of Castro's take over, saw the disarming of the Cuban people, can attest to the fact that Cubans not being able to own a weapon has been the greatest factor in Castro's success.
Owning a weapon became a hard labor concentration camp sentence or death if the government so desired since the beginning of Castro's rule. In Cuba only the G2, (Cuban Gestapo), the military, the civilian militia and the police are armed.
This has brought about complete state domination of the population and let's not forget that in Cuba, there are "Block Committees" one person or one family that are loyal party members and who are paid by the Government to keep an eye on their neighbors and report their activities. Block committes exist in every block or in every neighborhood if the neighborhood is very small.
I am not saying that Castro does not have supporters there but believe me support is much less than the demonstrations of solidarity with the ruler appear to show. When Castro plans a rally for whatever reason and you see so many attending and waiving flags and signs and shouting Castro's slogans always remember that these people are made to go to these rallies, flags and placards are given out and they are told to shout viva Fidel or else. There again I know there are loyalist but believe me, nothing like these rallies show.
As to Fidel having Parkinson's, it is possible many rumors to that effect have circulated as well as rumors that he is on dialysis. As to his speaking nonsense and not making sense, this is nothing new, he did this from the time he was young. He is the king of diatribe and a demagogue.

Possibly.
Of course barely surviving Von Stauffenburg's bomb blast probably added to his shakiness.

But the Central Intelligence Agency began briefing senior members of the State Department and lawmakers about one year ago that its doctors had become convinced that Castro was diagnosed with the disease around 1998, said two longtime government officials familiar with the briefings. Both asked for anonymity because leaking the contents of the classified briefing could violate U.S. laws. What is the point of classifying info anymore? It always gets leaked.
