Asking question about the bumbleheaded grandstanding move by Warner/Frist-Siganl growing impatience similiat to early '70's debates on Vietnam?

Rummy- wouldn't go down that road myself. War dangerous, heatbreaking thing. Churchill said problem isn't winning war, it's persuading people to let him win the war. Good quote. Free systems allow these open debates and discussions. Factual addition- DOF send dozens of updates, 7 required, ettc...updates on Iraqi security forces..many address what the amendment covers...every right to ask for reports, they send them. Hopes they read them! LOL

Leiberman said it seems to me one of these amendments would send message discouraging troops, confuse Iraqi people. Amendment by Dems defeated, Rummy's respoinse- GOOD. LOL

Rummy lots of confidence in people, confidence in Senate because they represent people, American people have good sense of gravity.

all sounds good. the timetable thing aside, he should once again re-iterate that US forces will ramp down as iraqi forces come up to speed. I think the administration has blown it over the past year with the only message being "stay the course". most americans mis-read this, and the media spins that into meaning "nothing is going to change" - which is not accurate.
