I am a GlobalWarming-sceptic sceptic of sorts. That is, I think there is too much knee jerk anti-GW stuff here on FR, and it makes us no better than the kneejerk GW advocates. Having said that, I am not completely convinced, and even if I was, I am not so sure what is causing it, nor am I in agreement about how to deal with it, and even if we should (instead of just adapting).
I think its obvious that the world weather goes in long and sometimes shorter cycles. I just caught a snipet of a show coming up on National Geographic about a world "cold spell" back in the early 1800's and may have been a half a century, I think the show is airing this coming weekend on either Discovery or National Geographic.
It is certain the climate is changing but it could be natural or it could be man made, like someone said we may not be able to change it but we should be able to adapt to it.
I've been a skeptic too, but the glaciers are definitely retreating... I just refuse to engage in the america bashing. I think it's the 6.3 billion people more than any individual country. I seriously don't think America with our clean cars is worse than the many countries that flout any industrial pollution control standards. We just have to roll with the punches. Whether it's happening or not I'll never agree with a bunch of crackpot Algore liberal bandaid legislation that will wind up in somebody's pocket or be used as a tool to bash republicans. Ever.
