The names of all the concealed weapons holders were published on WFTV's website. The 55,000 names encompassed Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard Counties (Channel 9's viewing area). After receiving many calls and emails, the station management apparently decided to pull it from their site. The spread sheet listed the names, addresses, dob, sex and race of each CWP holder.

Such an extensive list would be a wonderful place to start looking for someone's identity to steal. Maybe you could find a few Social Security Numbers with google, for many other public records, especially court filings have them buried in the text.
Should not any media outlet that makes such ID theft possible be held liable for facilitating the crime? This is based on one of the legal theories by which gun-grabbers have supported lawsuits against those who manufacture and sell lawful firearms.
What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
