The ceremonial nature of her role tends to obscure the fact that the Queen is a very disciplined and hard-working woman. We will miss her virtues when/ if her son succeeds her.

I have long admired the Queen. She has an unerring sense of duty that she has always put ahead of her personal life. She wisely put her husband in charge of their familly ... as she believed that he duty would always have to come first. Those who criticize her should stop to realize that she was a modern career woman before that became cool. HM deserves our respect.
