ONE OF THE MAIN STREET'S GOALS....
Stem-cell Research
One of the top legislative priorities for the Republican Main Street Partnership in the 109th Congress is stem-cell research. Rep. Mike Castle, President of RMSP has introduced legislation (H.R. 810) that would expand the current federal embryonic stem-cell policy by funding research on new stem-cell lines that have been ethically derived-- from discarded embryos created through the in-vitro fertilization (IVF) process- through informed consent of the donors, and without financial inducement.
RMSP wants to work with the President to expand the policy in an ethical and moral manner that unleashes the potential of embryonic stem-cell research. We believe it can be done, and we believe it should be done for the millions of Americans suffering nationwide.
Republican Main Street Partnership is looking for personal stories of individuals or families that might benefit from increased embryonic stem-cell research. If you are willing to share your thoughts with us, please email us at stemcellstories@rmsp.org

Yeah...I got their contribution right here.
I don't think they are. I've never seen any evidence that research has produced any benefit. Adult stem cells have produced results but nothing from embryonic.
