Trees have been used for a jillion things. The Christmas tree in its modern incarnation was thought up by Martin Luther who would have had a kitten if you had accused him of Baal worship.

I didn't accuse him of baal worship. Neither do I accuse those who choose to have a Christmas tree of being worshipers of baal. I'm just telling you that it is described to a "T" in Gods word as being part of a service closely associated with baal worship.
Having a "kitten" is putting it mildly.
