A. Abortion was not on their radar. A multitude of issues face people who are living in extreme poverty that have nothing to do with abortion access. Marie Antoinette's line about eating cake comes to mind here. "Poor women are concerned that they don't have access to adequate healthcare in doctors offices and hospitals!" "Well let them go to abortion clinics, then."
Poor Marie has gotten a bad rap from that 'cake' line. Cake was a name for the bread layer in an oven you used to bake fresher bread on top of. Guess you could actually eat the 'cake' if you had to. Your original point though is well taken. Abortion may be cheaper (financially) than raising a child, but it's still a money making enterprise for the providers.
PBS deserves all the heck it can get. Europe spends four times what the U.S. does on free T.V. and from what I understand peace, love and understanding isn't running rampant tonight in the streets of Paris.
