Well, there was really no need to defend yourself...I mean, some people just seem to get off on bit-hing about a TOTALLY UNRELATED topic on the early responses of a BREAKING news thread. It happens...kind of like the one old lady in the left lane on the expressway driving her Ford Grenada 40mph during rush hour. They'll always be out there.

seems to me they're pretty safe with the doors locked and the gunman somewhere else. The original poster regarding the slams against public schools may have been alittle over the top but it does happen every time there is a thread about anything remotely resembling public schools with the same old sweeping statements made. Your kids may be safe at home and maybe not but I know my kids and husband are safe at their respective schools.

Update on wtopnews.com. Perp had been spotted by a PG County Police office (man). Kids will be dismissed at the normal time (3:00pm). Parents will report to a building near the school and pick up their kids. That's all the reporter said...

If the Muslims do decide to strike at the heart of America like they said, there's a lot of homeschooling FReepers here to help. There's also nation wide support groups available in your area. After France and Germany, I hope they don't try it here.

I'm beginning to think that ANY post containing the word "school" now serves as grounds for holier-than-though homeschoolers to bash the rest of us that have our kids in public schools.

Homeschooling is a conservative issue. Just like gun rights, pro-life, and all the other issues.

I didn't see it mentioned before your post. But, expect it to be mentioned, as any other "conservative" issue would be.
