I didn't realize it was an Elementary School. This person has to be found it makes me think of Beslam.

This person has to be found it makes me think of Beslam. My thoughts exactly.

Makes me think of Beslam too. This is probably just a kook, but I'm afraid it won't be long before the terrorists go after what is dearest to our hearts.

Only one person, a security guard, actually said he saw him. Correct?

You are the only one so far to bring up home schooling. I think it was a preemptive strike, lol.

"I'm beginning to think that ANY post containing the word "school" now serves as grounds for holier-than-though homeschoolers to bash the rest of us that have our kids in public schools."
My thoughts exactly.

Only one person, a security guard, actually said he saw him. Correct? Not a security guard, a PG County Police office on routine patrol saw him attempting to enter the school. Source: www.nbc4.com.

Look at what happened in LA a few years back when bank robbers used body armor and AK-47s. They held off the entire police force for an afternoon and there were only two of them. Unfortunately it only takes one determined terrorist.

Only one person, a security guard, actually said he saw him. Correct?Yeah, I think so. FOX said "an officer", but they didn't say if more than one officer was in the immediate area, though.
To: Pyro7480
Not that surprising from PG County.

I lived in Upper Marlboro in the 70's, right outside Andrews AB. I don't recognize the name of the school though.

I bet the teachers sure are glad they can't carry their own guns at the school...... Hey now! Schools are gun-free and gang-free zones! Didn't you know that?

Try posts # 8 and 10 to start and then there is #107.I'm #107. I read through all the posts before I commented. Some jealous-of-homsechoolers FReeper stared it, so I defended myself. There's nothing wrong with self defense, you know. It's Constitutional!
You can't deny the children at home with their parents are much safer than those sitting in that public school right now.
To: Pyro7480
The PG County schools are a mess. What's worse, in an effort to curry favor with the county, the brass at Andrews AFB merged their school into the county system. Embarrased by the performance of base school, the educrats decided to bus them all over the district. As a result, the parents in EM housing have to home school their kids or pay for private schools.
And some wonder why retention of experienced noncoms isn't all it could be.

I remember the Mohammed and Malvo snipers and the shootings they did at schools and thank God the police officer spotted him and scared him off. if this guy was just a hunter all he had to do was stop and identify himself. Why run to the school and attempt entry? Thank God too the doors were locked or this could have been very bad.
