Oh, boy, didn't we just make some kind of 'agreement', but carved out Venezuela? I caught this from the front page of the Boston Globe earlier or maybe a news alligator crawl on Fox. As to Panama...I thought China had already swallowed most of that! At any rate, it would be great if President Bush did do exactly what you said...make a show of force. The reporters tried to grill him alive though, and he simply refused to answer questions about Rove, etc..

Please be assured that the RPC (Republic of China) does not have a hold on the canal as many Freepers would like to think and believe. (It would make their day if it were true.) It’s these crazy South American countries going bonkers who are the big threat to Panama and not China.
