The problem for UT is that the year they finally beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma isn't that good. Besides, USC is on a historic run.

Also, UT will need to schedule tough non-conference foes as much as possible. The key to the BCS is beating tough non-conference teams -- it's how the ties between unbeatens and once-beatens usually gets decided. And poll voters seem to be rewarding those types of wins more than ever. That win at Ohio State really put UT in great position. Besides, a tough non-conference schedule gives a team a chance in years when their conference is weak.
