Maybe "Conservatives" should break themselves of this childish habit of spending all their time firing on their own side and learn to actually stand up for things.

And maybe you "Big Gulp-ers" could take the time to stop spit-shining McStain and Spector's a$$es, and reaize that they are not trustworthy, and that the Conservative base is what wins elections. Gee, why do you all find it easier to apologize and suck-up to the Supid 7 (McStain,Chaffee,Snowe,Collins,Spector,Hagel,DeWine) and attack those who actually have principles and beliefs beyond the party line...I find THAT suspicious!

Maybe, the Whine all the Time Choir might, just once, learn to stand of for things instead of their usual bitching about everything. "Conservatives" have this really bad habit of falling into the psuedo-intellectual's trap of thinking being 100% rabidly critical makes them look "intelligent". It doesn't.

And maybe you "Go along to get into the best parties and not be thought of badly" types could pull you heads out of the RINO cage/Country Club and realize that principles and morals are not commodities to be bought and sold or traded for legislation. That every time we swallow some "Trust Us" idea, we get Ted Kennedy writing the Edjumocashun Bill...a tax increase with no cuts in spending...open porous borders without any stopping the employment of Illegals...Free Drugs funding that explodes the budget...

You think it makes you look "Compassionate" and "enlightened"...it doesn't.

Being a knee jerk critic is NOT a sign of a thinker, quite the opposed in fact.

And being a sell-out RINO/CINO/Country Clubber/Kool-Aid drinker is not a sign of "Compassion"...it's the sign of Party over Principles, and the sure sign of Statism and Elitism that the Conservatives are "knee-jerk"...guess you outed yourself on that comment.

President Bush SHOULD clean out some folks, not to placate calls from Democrats, but instead replace them with firebrand Conservatives with their ear to the Base, and finish up with a strong second term agenda:

- Replace McClellan with Tony Snow

- Replace Rove with Peggy Noonan

- Replace Rumsfeld with Tommy Franks

- Replace Chertoff with Tom Tancredo and give him free reign

- Seal the borders and enforce immigration laws, then talk Guest Worker Program in a couple years

- cut spending 10% across the board and hold it there for 3 more years, demand Washington find savings/efficiency instead of asking for more

- Declare a national movement toward energy independence, 50% in 10 years and 100% in 20

- Get a Declaration of War from Congress, mobilize the country to win it and fight to win it globally

Be a President for your Base, Mr. President, and we'll be there for the Party in '06 and '08. As El Rushbo says, Conservatism wins everytime it's tried, but not when it's watered down.

It is time for you to go and have lunch. You need some calories for your brain to function.

If I were Bush, I would hire Gergen and Pat Buchanan. Don Corleone was right when he said," Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer". Reagan did, of course he knew there was more wisdom to be had in Hollywood film than, " Win one for the Gipper".

Duba, tell Gergen and the rest to go to hell. Rove has done nothing wrong and getting rid of him would not solve anything, it would only give a further opening to those who want to undermine the President.

Yrs: I believe Libby is innocent until proven guilty. What Gergen believes is irrelevant. Even if Libby is proven guilty, it likely is because he was conducting his own counter-espionage op against the liberal wing-nut arm of the CIA, a hero in my book.
