When the Supremes interpret the Constitution incorrectly, we can clarify it for them through an Amendment. But the USSC has never ruled on the citizenship status regarding children of illegals. If you're aware of the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924 then you'll know Congress has the authority to change the law without amending the Constitution.

But the USSC has never ruled on the citizenship status regarding children of illegals.Maybe not specifically, but in Plyler v. Doe they applied the 14th Amendment to illegals and their children.
