You know, I had exactly that same thought while I was driving my kiddos to cheerleading today. After all the posts and stuff from earlier, hubby and I were sitting and talking about it and that just hit me. My kids have NO idea this is even going on.

I just find it very difficult to find age appropriate toys in general. I realize that many of my favorite catalogue retailers are probably far to the left of me. I like all things Waldorf, and have bought mostly handmade wooden toys for my children and games through catalogues like Hearth song, Magic cabin and Bella luna. The American girl dolls were our first "commercial" venture, and the dolls and accessories are quite well made. While we won't be buying the bracelets, my 11 year old may still have a year or two interest in their dolls.
