"Bill would make organ donation automatic for drivers in South Carolina"

And why not? We already don't own our property now, nor do we own our lives any more, so why should we own our bodies? Besides, our rulers - our self appointed "betters" - are entitled to use us mere peasants as a pool of replacement parts! (/sarcasm)

South Carolina AGAIN! I came back to SC so I could be "home" again, and because SC had a great record of resisting socialist crap. Not any more. The election of Turncoat Lindsey marked the coming of the neo-con neo-feudalist revolution to SC. Word on the street is that Mr. and Ms. Avg. Citizen oppose this, so there's no chance it will pass. But I don't know - legislators everywhere make a good show of representing the people, but the time when they actually did is gone. Now they represent the agenda of whoever bought them. So this could pass even with 95% opposition. Wouldn't be the first time.

I suppose we could poke around WWW.SC.GOV and find the text of the bill, its sponsors and the vote. It might do some good, might not.

Note: Until recently the SC govt.website was called WWW.MyScGov.ORG. I assume the name change was done to reflect reality. It's been a while since it was My SC Gov.

And that's my rant for today...

People think all us folks from CA are liberal jerks, but there are a good number of conservatives out here. We vote, the court strikes it down, saying we didn't know what we were doing.

So remember, even if Mr. and Mrs. Average Joe Citizen vote for or against something, that doesn't mean their vote counts in the end.

As for mandated donations, they can have my lungs and liver!
