"EXCERPTED: "It would seem, and there is a lot of research about this, that the music has the ability to access words. It is so powerful that people who have lost their ability to speak can access songs and words from the melody.'"

Come to think of it, my dad who has Alzheimer's can't say more than a few words at a time, but can sing all of the words to his favorite songs.

That's right. There's something about melody and lyrics that unlocks the memory bank.

COURT TV TRIAL - ANOTHER FLORIDA CASE: from Miami-Dade County. Joseph and Lamoy Andressohn are accused of starving their six month old daughter to death. "Parents are accused of starving baby."

(and Terri's parents were accused of trying to have her fed in the same state) Florida IS the starvation state until further notice.

Right now, they have a Ms. Shea Rarback, a nutritionist appearing as an expert witness. This is a case about vegan diets and supplements vs. chicken, fish, etc.

The Court TV anchor is reading emails now. "Where was the baby's doctor during this time?" via email.

Music therapy and singing are ways the brain can sort information for people who otherwise have difficulties with memory loss and communication. There are musical geniuses who are learning disabled or are legally blind. The brain has a music section. Isn't that kewl?
