If starving Terri was right, why are the self righteous continuing to lie?

Because somewhere in the back of their minds, in their souls, they also know that she was murdered. They can't let go of this. Once a liar, always a liar. I don't think they feel guilty but they do know that Terri was murdered in cold blood.

Further, SOS Condi Rice and USAG Alberto Gonzalez can get on my tv any time and say that the United States "does not torture" and they too, are LYING.

Finally, Terri is not alone. Look at the indifference after Katrina, it was sheer arrogance that people died of dehydration or euthanasia because nobody went in. The Coast Guard did fine work but indifference killed a lot of folks who initially survived Katrina and the break in the levee.

When you take one this way and so publicly, it opens the door to take more lives.

We're in the Land of Oz. Yes, no doubt, we're in the Land of Oz. In the Land of Oz, the Munchkins are bedazzled by the Wizard's big head on the giant screen, his flashpowder and smoke, and his noisemakers. They're also bedazzled by his politics, his explanations and his problem solving methods.

You don't need a heart - just something that ticks.
You don't need courage - here's a medal.
You don't need a brain - here's a diploma.

Terri's a corpse, and a corpse can talk - if you change the definition of corpse! (Remember that one?)

Terri's already dead - (insert panting and drooling here) - so let's kill her!!! (insert orgasmic moaning here)

I'll solve illegal immigration - I'll legalize them! - POOF! - If they're legalized, they can't be illegal. Problem solved! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Secret torture prisons are "an abomination" in America, so move them somewhere else and - POOF! - We don't do that in America. "Wow!", say the Munchkins.

Torture? Why, I'll just change the definition by law of what constitutes torture and - POOF! - we don't torture!

Don't anybody try to tell me, "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain". No need. The curtain is transparent. It's made from the same fabric as the emperor's new clothes.

A liar is worse than a thief, because a liar can hang an innocent person. They're experiencing a type of foreboding, and are screaming and stomping their feet to drown that tiny little voice out.

Many of the deaths caused by hurrican Katrina could have been prevented, but Louisiana politics got in the way. I don't know if I would say these deaths were caused by indifference. I do know that the last thing these officials wanted, was the Federal government coming in to help. They've been using the funds for other things, instead of shoring up the levees, etc. In fact, the government asked for an accounting last spring, and several officials were indicted, long before Katrina showed up. Imo, people died unecessarily because of the rampant corruption in that state.
