We in PA tried to retire Specter last year, alas. When Bush visited here in Pittsburgh last July during his campaign, Specter attended the rally and was roundly booed (by an all-Republican crowd, no less). When the President even mentioned Specter's name, the crowd booed again.
Maybe it's my wierd sense of humor, but that Specter-being-booed scenario sounds like a scene in a Mel Brooks movie!
GOP endorsed the OkC mayor (Humphries) and Bob Anthony...Coburn was drafted, and blew them out of the water! It can be done, if people will pull together regardless of GOP endorsements.
