I think its a big deal because it turns the process into a drawn-out political campaign. I bet the MSM starts tracking polls, etc. Pathetic.

yes the delay is a big deal because the Supreme Court hears an abortion case in late November. And we need another conservative on the court by then to make sure things go our way.

Other than providing DEMS with more time to try to dig up bad stuff on Alito, is this delay a big deal? It is to O'Connor and to our President who asked for a speedy process. It's the minority's party way of thumbing their nose at GWB with the aid of Specter.
