Googling suggests that this guy's name is actually spelled O'Doherty and a search for him with the Wash post generates a few hits that probably out to be looked at.

Thanks. The only thing I found for "Ryan O'Dougherty" was a page praising orchidforchange.com, some Democrat grass-roots fundraising site. Ryan O'Doherty was the Maryland Democrat Party's SPOKESMAN in 2004, according to this link.
No Ryan O'Doherty from Maryland has contributed to federal candidates recently, according to FEC.gov.
