What ever happened to heroic John Wayne type war movies?
Jarhead may well be inaccurate crap--I wouldn't know, I haven't seen it. But even if that's so, it's likely no more inaccurate than the John Wayne flicks which you allude to. The Duke's war movies were many things. Realistic they were not.
