Are there 50 senators today who are ready to support the Constitution?

Almost certainly not.

After the failed USSR coup in 1991, Yeltsin said it had been excellent, because, "now, at last, we know who is who".

We cannot win the public war for the Court until we decipher, and win, the secret war for the Senate.

Right now, we do not know how many Republican senators who are verbally committed to constitutional judges will turn away from being the 51st vote.

We do not know, in Yeltsin's words, "who is who".

But we're about to find out.

I disagree. Graham has already said he would oppose a filibuster of this nominee. We just need a couple more of the gang of seven and we can nuke the filibuster.
