Both were in the add with quotes. Frum actually got all the $ up. He also got up a petition on FR and other places to oppose Miers. These are facts not fantasies.
I saw the add on Fox News. Must have been a big, expensive buy. No conservative pundit or group has ever bought an add against the nominee of a Republican President.
We have new ground here that will ricochet from nominee to nominee for some time.
If you were to add a couple of commas, say after "have" and "for," this could pass for a piece of Miers' writing.

The bottom line is; Miers found the kitchen too hot and got out. That succinctly settles any and all speculation about whether she was fit to be a Black Robe or not.
