Clinton was indicted - that's what an impeachment is. Impeachment is a type of indictment, leading to a trial in the Senate, and there Clinton was acquited on all charges by the spineless Senators.

Libby could well be found not guilty - Nixon wasn't even indicted by the House before he resigned and stopped the process, after all - but that doesn't change the fact that it isn't the crime that takes you down in the end, it's lying about it.

Libby's been taken down. Even if he makes a deal, even if he's never actually convicted, the Chief of Staff of the Vice President of the United States has resigned his post in disgrace. He's done. His political career is through.

The COnstitution does not permit an indictment of a sitting President. Clinton's impeachment by the House, for all intents and purposes was his indictment.
