Not to split hairs here, but I have not found any substantiation for the claim that she was "still considered undercover" within the text of the indictment. It states that, "At all relevant times from January 1, 2002 through July 2003, Valerie Wilson was employed by the CIA, and her employment status was classified".
So it's okay with you if a top level administration official discloses classified information to the press?
Her JOB was classified; the fact that she worked at the CIA was not.
And "classified" and "covert" are NOT the same thing.
Not to condone it, but that happens all the time. Bill Gertz has made a career out of publishing classified information leaked to him.
You have jumped to an unwarranted conclusion. There is nothing in any of my posts that would support such a statement. My post was directed at clarifying the difference between the fact of Plame's employment by the CIA being classified information and the requirements for prosecution under Title 50, United States Code, Section 421. Please refrain from putting words into my mouth.
