The really sad thing about this entire pathetic ordeal is that this prosecutor could NEVER have brought charges against ANYONE for outing Plame -- because she hadn't been a covert CIA operative within the past 5 years. Furthermore, it would have been easy for any lawyer to prove that Plame and Wilson didn't make it a secret that she worked for the CIA; all of their friends and neighbors knew. So what does the prosecutor have to show for his lame-ass "investigation"? He indicts Libby for perjury. Big deal. Maybe Republicans should start using Clinton's line: "Libby was only lying to protect his family and colleagues...blah, blah, blah..."

Libby was just lying because politicians routinely lie. Its an old Washington sport. The prosecutor and all the politicians in the Capitol should be behind bars too. Libby got caught because his lie was a clumsy one.

What baffles me is why Libby couldn't just tell the truth. Plame was NOT covert.

I'm really bummed out. I thought Wilson or Miller would be indicted. Seriously.
